Sheriff Durnell was president of the Utah State Peace Officers' association as-sociation last year and is now a director. He served as Utah county sheriff since 1931, prior to which time he was on the-Provo City police department force. 'In announcing my candidacy for. the position of sheriff for another an-other teim," Mr. Durnell said, "I feel that the work of our department depart-ment with which the public has been familiar will inform the voters vot-ers better than a lengthy written statement of my qualifications and willingness to work for the interests inter-ests of the public. It has been the aim of myself and my deputies to give the public a clean, efficient and economical administration. Now that I am asking the support of the voters , for a further term, I feel that the experience and training I have received re-ceived in the past will make the office more efficient and serve the public better in the future."
