Show I Local I The Mapleton ward Relief society so-ciety is sponsoring a clothing and Thanksgiving day food sale in the ward hall on Wednesday November 23. A large variety, of foods and many beautiful and useful use-ful articles of wearing apparel will be exhibited. All are invited. Miss Hazen who led a class in parent and child relationship in Springville last year, is scheduled to give another course on Family Relationship, beginning on Thursday, Thurs-day, November 17, at 2:30 p. m. in the high school art building. Those who attended the , classes last year are enthusiastic over the opportunity to again hear Miss Hazen. There is no charge for the course 'and everyone is invited to attend the meetings. A new and interesting feature will be added to the program of enjoyable dances Saturday night, at Memorial hall, in the form of a style and fashion revue. Approximately 15 models from the Brigham Young university, Provo, will be featured in between be-tween 38 and 40 lovely ensembles. The dances thus far- have proven a success wtih a large crowd of enthusiastic dance lovers attending. attend-ing. Everyone is invited to join the crowd Saturday night. Richards, local representative repre-sentative of the Metropolitan Life Insurance company, with his wife and small son are moving to Springville to make their home while Mr. Richards is employed in his new work. The First ward M. I. A., under th direction of Mrs. Gertrude Clements and Victor Frandsen, will present a one-act play, "Romance "Ro-mance is a Racket," in the amusement amuse-ment hall, November 29. The ca3t includes, Woodrow Weight, Ileen Felix, Bert Cherrington, Delia Baxter, Mrs. Wendell Nielson, Evelyn Davis, Elmo Curtis. Making . a tour of outstanding dairy herds throughout the state, a group of dairymen from Sevier county will visit Springville herds next Monday at about 10 a. m., announces Secretary Lewis B. Childs of the local dairy association. asso-ciation. The group will be accompanied accom-panied by Extension Agent Lyman S. Rich and other officials. Aid in sponsoring a dairy show in Springville was requested of county commissioners by a group of Springvilled da.rymen, at a recent re-cent meeting. The commissioners wil Imeet with the county fair board next Monday and will shortly short-ly after report to the local committee com-mittee on the proposition. The local committee working on the project include, Lewis Childs, Heber Houtz, Fred Weight, Rulon Fox and A. G. Peterson. The importance of a staff position posi-tion will be understood when it is known that the Banyon staff is entrusted with an expenditure of $7,000 to $10,000 in making the publication. School tradition is the theme which has been selected for the 1939 Banyan. The cover design will appear in school colors, blue and white: Cougars, the Old Y Bell, and other traditions will be featured in the various sections.
