Show SEMINARY ALUMNI MAKE ORGANIZATION Under the direction of Principal J. W. Olsen and Ray Colton, a Seminary Alumni association was recently organized here, with new officers elected as follows: President, Presi-dent, Verl Whiting; Vice President, Presi-dent, Bert Strong; Secretary -Treasurer, Miss lone Averett. An executive committee to include one member from each of the wards in the stake will be appointed appoint-ed by these officers. A social in honor of President William T. Tew Jr., of the East Central States mission, former seminary instructor, who is visiting visit-ing here, since attending the general gen-eral conference, was the first project sponsored by the newly organized group. The next project being planned will honor the seminary graduates. gradu-ates. The sincere support of all former seminary graduates is desired de-sired to make the organization a success. The social for Mr. Tew was an enjoyable one for all with an excellent ex-cellent program given, as follows: fol-lows: Welcome address, President Verl Whiting, trombone solo, Newell Weight; short talk, J. W. Olsen; vocal solo, Max Menden-hall; Menden-hall; congregational singing led by Jack Cherrington and a short talk by President Tew. |
