The group including all make up people peo-ple as well as cast members, came dressed as "kills" and spent a delightful de-lightful evening with "kid" games followed by a tasty lunch. A group of girls enjoyed a bicycle party Friday night. Fol-lowing Fol-lowing the ride they met at the June 7. In conclusion tasty refreshments re-freshments were served by the hostess. Members of the Ladies Literary club will hold their last regular meeting of the season on Friday, June 2, at the home of Mrs. Bert Groesbeck. Merlin Johnson of this city announces the marriage of her daughter Lenore, to Robert Hundley, Hund-ley, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hundley of Provo, which took Dlace last Thursday evening, at the home of the bride's mother. Bishop William Witney of the Third ward performed the ceremony cere-mony in the presence of the couple's immediate family and close friends. Following the ceremony, cere-mony, the wedding party was entertained en-tertained at an informal reception. Refreshments were served to 20 guests. The bride appeared lovely in an orchid silk dress with corsage of roses and sweet peas. The entertaining enter-taining rooms were beautifully decorated with a profusion of early spring blossoms. The young couple will make their home in ' Provo, where the groom is em- nloyed as a mechanic. the leadership of Carl O. An enjoyable feature of the entertainment was a review of the book, "Season Timber," by Mrs. Blench Beal. One of the outstanding social events of the week was the honor banquet for high school faculty members and honor students held Thursday night, at the high school and at which nearly a hundred were in attendance. The banquet room and tables were beautifully decorated with the season's flowers. Earl Child, high school student body president, was master of ceremonies and introduced intro-duced Miss Virginia Bird as toast-mistress. toast-mistress. Toasts were given during dur-ing the evening 'by Dell Leichty, Genevieve Bird, LaJeune Whitney, Fern Simkins and Elliott Cameron. Cam-eron. Buleah Whiting and Jettie Jacob entertained with a vocal duet; Melba Merriott, a vocal solo; Grant Clyde, a vocal solo and the school song was sung by the group. Principal W. W. Olsen went to Fountain Foun-tain Green Saturday, where she was a speaker at funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Green, mother-in-law of Grant Gardner, junior high school principal. Mr. Gardner was also in Fountain Green to attend the services. Miss Carol Bird, teacher in the Salt Lake City schools, who has been confined to the L. D. S. hospital hos-pital for a num'ber of weeks, is convalescing at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Bird. Mrs. Hattie Ostler of Salt Lake City, has returned to her home following a two week's visit with her sister, Mrs. Anna Burns of Springville. Mrs. Ostler was an early resident of this city. Mrs. Eric Kuehl was hostess to members of the Kensington club of the local Community church, at an enjoyable social at her home Thursday afternoon. Officers of the group were reelected during a short business meeting with Mrs. A. M. Lyall, president; Mrs. Eric Kuehl, vice president; Mrs. Nellie Diamona, secretary; Mrs. Vera Perham, treasurer. Plans were also discussed for the closing picnic pic-nic of the kensington to be held at the home of Mrs. Charles Funk, Announcement is made of the engagament of Pricella Nielson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Niels P. Nielson of this city, to Ellis LeRoy, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. LeRoy of Mapleton, the marriage to take place in the near future. The Daughters of Pioneers of Springville will join with other camps of Utah county, in a county convention at Payson on Friday, June 2. Members of each camp who plan on going are asked to contact their respective 'camp captains cap-tains so arrangements for transportation trans-portation and other details might be worked out. Members are also asked to wear their pioneer sun-bonnets sun-bonnets on that day. Lieutenant-Colonel E. L. Nye and Mi"s. Nye and their daughter Kathleen of West Port, N. Y., are visiting Mrs. Nye's mother, Mrs. Selina Kelsey and other relatives in Springville. In honor of the visitors, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Johnson John-son entertained at dinner at their home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Knudsen of Spanish Fork, were also other guests. The group were also entertained at dinner on Monday night, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Knudsen in Spanish Fork. Anderson had charge of the program which featured a talk by Miss Bernice Park on interesting in-teresting highlights of outstanding outstand-ing radio personalities. Mrs. Harold Har-old Christensen entertained with a vocol solo; Mrs. Maurice Bird, a piano selection ; and Mrs. Charles A. Franks,, a vocal solo. In attendance were approximately 18 club members and guests. Mrs. Genevieve Grr of Grants-ville, Grants-ville, has been visiting her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. C. G. Russell and family fami-ly in Springville, the past few days. Mrs. Lula Sauer of this city, who has been confined to the L. D. S. hospital the past several months following an automobile accident, is convalescing at the home of Mrs. Delos Oakley. She, with Mrs. Oakley and daughter, and Mrs. Bertha Rothwell were dinner guests of Mrs. Rheuamia Weight and daughter, Mrs. Mac W. Johnson at the latter's home in Provo on Thursday.
