A program, dance and refreshments refresh-ments featured the entertainment at the First ware reunion and testimonial in honor of the retiring retir-ing bishopric and ward clerk, at the amusement hall, Wednesday night. The retiring officers were presented with a token of appreciation appre-ciation from the ward members and responded with short talks. Approximately 50(1 people were in attendance. Members of the Social Twelve club were delightfully entertained Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Ora Rowland.. Progressive bridge was played and prizes for the games were presented to Mrs. Ella Crandall and Mis. Mary Clegg, the latter being a guest. A delicious luncheon was served at the close of the party to Mrs. Emma Kennedy, Mrs. Gertrude Sumsion, Mrs.- Esther Johnson, Mrs. Melba Pennington, Mrs. Hilda Grant, Mrs. Lois Clegg, Mrs. Gwen Baxter, Mrs. Hazel Harrison, Mrs. Ella Crandall, Mrs. Emma Rowland, Row-land, Mrs. Mary Clegg and Mrs. Manillla Brown. , Mrs. Leola Ewing has returned from several days visit at Mc-Cameron, Mc-Cameron, Idaho. Mrs. Thelma Clark, who accompanied Mrs. Ewing, plans ,to remain several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Clegg and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Rowland entertained enter-tained a number of friends at the home of the latter, Saturday evening. eve-ning. A dainty dain-ty luncheon followed the games and was served to Mr. and Mrs. Amasia Rowland, Mr. and . Mrs. Upton Cherrington, Mr. and Mrs. Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Sumsion and the host and hostess. . Members of the Ladies' Literary Liter-ary club and their husbands will be entertained with a party at Memorial hall club rooms, Saturday Satur-day evening, January 25, beginning begin-ning at 7:30 p. m. Luncheon will be served early. Hostesses for the affair are Mrs. Ruby Christensen, Mrs. Bess Mendenhall, Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Grooms, Mrs. Mercedes Anderson An-derson and Mrs. Blanch Beal. The Home Culture club members mem-bers and their partners will be entertained en-tertained at a social Friday evening, eve-ning, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. VV. 11. Anderson. Daughters of the Pioneers camp Aaron Johnson, were entertained last Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Pereinda Oakley, with Mrs. Adda Jessee, Mrs. Charles Dailey, Mrs. Ethel Loher, Mrs. Marilla Brown and Mrs. Selina Kelsey assisting hostesses. The lesson "Granting of Statehood to Utah," was given in an interesting inter-esting manner by Mrs. Margaret Miner and also Mrs. Milessa Thompson gave a talk on "Histories." "Histor-ies." The program for the afternoon after-noon also included short talks by Mrs. A. W. Finley and Mrs. Anna Mendenhall of the county organization; organi-zation; readings by Miss Mildred Parry and vocal and instrumental music from the high school. Tueller of Provo. . Nearly a hundred temple workers work-ers from Kolob stake joined with Nebo and Palmyra stakes on an excursion to the Salt Lake temple Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Kindred of this city announce the marriage of their daughter Louise, to Leonard Leon-ard J. Thatcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thatcher of Provo, which took place Thursday, January Janu-ary 16, in the Salt Lake temple. Following a short wedding trip the young couple plan to make their home in Provo, where Mr. Thatcher will continue his studies at the Brigham Young university. Mrs. Thatcher also is a former student of the B. Y. U. In honor of the young couple a. number of social . entertainments have been given here and in Provo, tlie past week. An especially enjoyable social was given Wednesday night when the officers of the Fourth ward Relief society entertained in honor of the visiting teachers of the organization or-ganization at the home of President Presi-dent Jennie Ciyue. A well planned plan-ned program was given featuring readings by Miss Genevieve Fugal o the high school faculty and music by Miss Louise Clyde and Mrs. Jennie , Brown.
