Show FUTURE FARMER NEWS ITEMS The Union Pacific scholarship of $100 given annually to the trtah County Future Farmer making the best record in F.F.A. projects and school activities, goes to Keith Boycr, 18, of this city, according to word received here. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Sel-voy Sel-voy J. Boyer. Keith, a freshman in the school of agriculture at the Utah State Agricultural college, Logan, 'has been outstanding in community activities as well as F. F. A., school and Future Farmer work. Graduating from the local high school last spring, he is one of 28 state Future Farmers to have received the highest degree conferred con-ferred on Future Farmers in the state. He made an outstanding record in a stock feeding project comprised of 60 head of baby beef, a carload of which he sold at - a Los Angeles, Calif., market last spring. He also completed a certified cer-tified grain production project. He has been engaged in Future Farmer work four years, and has been active in i-H club work. During his senior year in school, under the direction of W. H. Anderson, An-derson, vocational agriculture instructor in-structor at the school, he. won the high school F. A. A. public speaking contest and placed second sec-ond in the district contest at Prove Pro-ve He was also a member of the stock judging team in Ogden, which won the state honors. Besides his agriculture work, he took part in the band and other special activities of the school, graduating as an honor student. |
