Show Ogden Ladies Chorus, Mark Robinson Director To Sing Here Saturday Presented in behalf of the Springville high school art fund under the sponsorship of the Home Culture club, the Arphonians, Ogden's community ladies' chorus will present a concert in this city Saturday night. The program will be nart of the activities signalizing the opening of the iWia'i. bulling- and the annual art show. It will be held at 8:30 p. m., in the high school auditorium. audi-torium. The chorus which has earned an enviable reputation for its tonal quality and interpretation, is under the direction of Mark Robinson, who for a number of years directed music activities in this city. Many friends and former students are looking forward to his visit here with the fine music entertainers. As a special feature of. the entertainment the chorus will sing, "The Gypsy Fortune Teller," composed by Dr. Florence Jepperson Madsen of the Brigham Young university, music department. Dr. Madsen is said to be one of the outstanding composers of the state having won national reputation for her compositions, Miss Carma Douglass, soprano soloist is reputed to be one of the best singers in the state, while Lee Cain is well known throughout through-out Salt Lake City and Ogden for his rich baritone voice: Both will take solo leads in the concert. JVIiss Ada Waldron, who has won much favor as a pianist, will accompany the chorus. The entertainment as a whole will be one of the finest of its kind ever given here. Mr. Robinson's success as a music instructor in this city is sufficient assurance ot the type of entertainment which he will bring bach to Springville. Ladies of the Home Culture club have worked to make the concert con-cert a, success and invite the cooperation of local people and those of surrounding communities. While a large number of tickets have been distributed the past few days, tickets may also be secured at the door the evening ofi the performance, President Ada Barron of the Home Culture club announces.
