The total cost is' $19,400. Discount to the government on a combination contract brings the cost to 3.6 cents a ton less on sand and gravel bringing the total down to $17,104. This discount coines, because the company was lowest on both bids. The price is f. o. b. the company's yards at Nash. Materials must be hauled to the damsitc at government expense. ex-pense. The materials will be used in constructing the outer surface of the dam which will be earth filled. The contract will be formally awarded by the secretary of the Interior because it involves more than $10,000. ) |
