(U.ll) Utah weekly newspaper editors and publishers had returned to their plant3 today after electing A. B. Gibson, Nephi. president of the Utah State Press association to succeed Clyde A. Epperson of Kays-ville. Kays-ville. Other officers elected during the two-day annual conference which 'nded yesterday included Howard A. Jarvis, Magna, vice president; Mrs. Grace A. Cooper, Salt Lake, reelected re-elected secretary and treasurer; and Jesse Earl, Logan, and A. F. Oaisford, American Fork, members of the board of directors. The association endorsed a program pro-gram of reclassification of property for taxation purposes, stressed the need of revising Utah's tax system to provide a central state commission commis-sion to establish uniform systems of budgets and accounts, and selected select-ed Ogdcn as the site of the annual summer convention in June. There are more than 1500 airports air-ports in the United States. |
