Show SPRINGVILLE POULTRYMEN ARE ASSURED EGG GRADING PLANT; WORK BEGINS SOON Springvillc is assured an egg-grading egg-grading plant, and work on the new building will begin as soon as , weather conditions will permit, i This decision was reached Monday J evening when a successful and nicely arranged fellowship banquet was given .under the direction of the local poultry association in the First ward amusement hall. President John S. Boyer was master of 'ceremonies' and Selvoy Boyer was toast master. There Were 2130 growers and persons interested in-terested in the poultry industry in attendance. Benjamin Brown, salesmanagcr of the Utah Poultry Producers, Inc., of New York City, told of the development de-velopment of the industry in this gtate, and of the success of the organization. or-ganization. He discussed in detail the benefits of cooperative marketing market-ing and spoke encouragingly of the future development of the industry here. Alburtus Willardson of the gen- n era board of directors, Salt Lake, and A. J. Anderson and C. E. South-crland, South-crland, officials of the Salt Lake and Utah railroad, were present and spoke of the poultry industry becoming one of Utah's leading pro jects and the financial success attained at-tained in the project thus far. Following the talks by the visiting visit-ing officials a splendid program was given as follows: instrumental music. Will Parry and R. B. Weight; vocal solo, Helen Palfrey-man, Palfrey-man, accompanied by Alzada Wil-mot; Wil-mot; reading, Mr. Broadbent of the B. Y. U. The Relief society of the First ward was directly in charge of the banquet which was served on several sev-eral long tables centered with cut flowers. Girls of the M. I. A. assisted as-sisted in serving and much, appreciation appre-ciation is extended by officers of the local poultry association to the Relief society ladies for the splendid splen-did manner in which the affair was conducted. |
