Show BOY SCOUTS HONORED AT cm ME Merit Badge Awards Presented To Provo Boys. Francis McPhee of Scout Troop 43 was awarded a silver sil-ver palm and Darrell Servoss of Troop 49 was awarded a gold palm in a court of honor held in the Pioneer ward, Sunday night, with Scoutmaster Scoutmas-ter Lee Johnson of Troop 59 in charge. The silver palm is awarded to scouts having 15 merit badges above eagle scout requirements, require-ments, and the gold palm to those having 10 above. Robrt Hodson and Maurice Jones vere presented Eagle scout awards. Eyring Is Speaker Dr Carl F. Eyring of the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university was the principal speaker. He pointed out the many advantages of scouting and said that working among scouts is an experience that can cause a man to make his entire life over. Jim Norton, Troop 51, and Kenneth Ken-neth Sterling, Troop 52, were ( awarded life scout badges; Mar- tell Bird, Troop 43 was given a I star scout badge, and Robert Gam- ; mell, Earl Sutherland, and Max Rasmussen, all of Troop 41, were awarded first class scout badges, j The following merit badges were awarded: Francis McPhee, 43, eleotricity, automobiling and photography; Raymond Dixon, 43, leathercraft, first aid; Martell Bird, 43, pathfinding; Jim Norton, 51, botany, life saving; Kenneth Sterling, 52, reading, first aid, swimming; George W.
