Miss Ruth Whiting is spending, the week in Logan where she ia attending school in preparation to act as 4-H instructor of the Maple-ton Maple-ton girls this summer. She expects to return home Saturdy. A large c rowd attended tho temple excursion last Monday. A junior temple excursion was had last Saturday. If MAPLETON - Miss Blanche Whiting spent the j week end in Salt Lake. She visited her sister, Miss Loeta Whiting. Mrs. Willis Dibble entertained at a birthday party Thursday afternoon after-noon in compliment to her 11-year- j old son, Eldon. Games were played after which a lovely lunch was served to the following: Beulah, Clco Whiting, Lena Lamb, Bernice Binks, Gertrude Anne Welch, Jane Lee, Alene Jensen, Erma Harmer, Irene Bird, Edna Wiscombe, Velma Hatfield, Mac Holley, Bill Med-ved, Med-ved, Fred Bird, Evan Allan, Merrill Allan and the honor guest. A delicious delic-ious luncheon wes served at the card tables to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill W. Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Mackley, Mr. and Mrs. Lavell Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Holley, Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Whiting, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mendenhall, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Marshbanks, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Whitney and the host and hostess. Otto Hall has gone to Panguitch where he expects to remain for some time. A one-act play entitled "Hist! She's a Man," has been chosen to be presented on honor day. Mrs. Olive Whiting is acting as director.
