Show Utah County Men Gain Appointment 1 - . . , GILLIAN, Ml 11131 ARE NAMED Governor Dern Includes Many Local Citizens On State Boards; Crecr Is Again Named On Water Storage J. W. Gillman, chairman of the Utah county commission and president of the Orem town board, has been appointed appoint-ed as a member of the Utah water storage commission by Governor Dern subject to the confirmation of the senate. j W -O. Creer of Provo who has served on the commission for several sev-eral years was re-appointed, Gill- man takes the position vacated by Wilford Van Wagenen of Wasatch county. Other Appointees Utah county was well represented represent-ed on the list of appointments sent to the senate by Governor Dern. Alex Hedquist, Provo druggist ! was named as a member of the r board of trustees of the Utah state training school for the feeble-mind- ! ed, succeeding Mayor John E. Booth of Spanish Fork who resigned resign-ed when he was elected state senator. Otto Birk, chief of police, suc- ceeds J. E. Burbidge of Salt Lake as a member of the state bureau of criminal identification and in- J vestigation. i Other appointments of Utah i county residents follow: B. F. Lar-sen, Lar-sen, Provo and Wayne Johnson Springvile, members of the gov erning board of the Utah Art Insti tute; Dr. William J. Snow, Provo, member of the board of control of the Utah State Historical society; Dr. R. C. Swalberg, Spanish Fork, director of the Utah State Fair to serve for a two-year term. J. W. Robinson of Provo was included in an earlier list as a member of the board of regents of the University of Utah. Dr. Guy S. Richards of American Fork was named as a member of the board of trustees of the Utah I state training school for feeble-' feeble-' minded to serve for the six year term.
