Show INCREASES IN TAXATION FEW Cities and Towns of Utah County Generally Hold Levies Down. Few increases have been made by city councils and town boards of Utah county in fixing the tax levy for the coming yer, according to a tabulation made by the county auditor's au-ditor's office. The levies are still subject to change by the state board of equalization. . Only one taxing unit, Mapleton, found it necessary to boost the levy to take care of next year's running expenses. Installation of a modern water system made the raise in this case inevitable. Three cities, Provo, Springville and Spanish Fork and one town, Santaquin, have reduced their levies while the other nine have maintained main-tained the same rate as prevailed last year. The levies as fiMo with the comparison com-parison of last year's levy in parenthesis par-enthesis are as follows: Provo, 15.30 mills (15.50); Lehi, 19.25 mills (19.25); American Fork, 15 mills (15); Pleasant Grove, 17 mills (17); Springville, 17.25 mills, (20); Spanish Span-ish Fork, 17 mills, (18); Payson, 16 mills, (16); Salem, 14 mills , (16); Alpine, 10 mills, (10); Lindon town, 7 mills, (7); Orem town, 10 mills, (10); Mapleton town, 12.50, mills, (4); Santaquin town. 23 mills, (23); Goshen town, 19 mills, (19). Special road district levies have been voted by Benjamin and Genola of 2 mills each, state bounty on sheep and goats is 5 mills, state bounty on range horses and cattle, 2 mills; state tubecular tax domestic domes-tic cattle, 3 mills.
