Show RROCKBANK OF SPANISH FORK HEADS ASS'N. Wallace Erockbank of the Span- j ish Fork high school, was elected president of the Nebo School District Dis-trict Teachers' association, at the last regular institute of the school year, held at the Springville high school Saturday. Other officers elected include: Eva Lee of Pay-son, Pay-son, first vice president; A. E. Jacobson, Springville; John Warner, War-ner, Jr., Spanish Fork; Arthur Grotegut, Lake Shore; Eugeae Hill-man, Hill-man, Payson; Ralph Davis, Dividend, Divi-dend, as dislrict executive board members. N. Blaine Winters of Payson, automatically became second sec-ond vice president and the president presi-dent will appoint a secretm-v Supeilntendent L. John Nuttall of the Salt Lake City schools was the principal speaker at the meetings, discussing methods by which the teachers might contact the student of adolescent age, and explaining problems relative to class room management. Mrs. Mae Huntington gave an interesting in-teresting talk on various pictures in the art exhibit. Dr. Paul Brainard of the University of Utah and Superintendent Melvin Wilson were other speakers. At the department meetings held early in the forenoon, under the direction of .the various supervisors, supervis-ors, problems in connection with the closing of schools May. 12 and suggestions for the beginning of next year, were taken up. An informal roll call showed a number of teachers planning extended ex-tended trips to the world's fair, and other places of interest during the summer, while others contemplate contem-plate attending summer schools daring therr vacations. . |
