Show KOLOB DRAMA CONTEST TO BE HELDTUESDAY The drama contest of Kolob stake M. L A. will be held in the high school next Tuesday evening beginning at 7:30 o'clock. The First ward will present as their contest play "The Killer," I with the following taking part: Miss I Emma Peterson,. Wilford Mower, 1 Lamar Weight and Wilford Man-waring. Man-waring. "Peggy" will be presented by the Third ward cast including: Mark Johnson, Lucille Johnson, Dwaine Spafford, Beth Smith, Tess Packard, Pack-ard, Virginia Clark and Milan Meltcalf. Mapleton's contest play is, "Women "Wo-men Folks," AVlth Lotile Bowen, Mi's. Rulon Jensen, Mrs. Ada Lee, Mabel Hanson, Mrs. Merle Diamond Dia-mond and Mrs. Betr Jensen taking part. The Second ward will present "Peggy" and this cast includes: Clarence WardBworth, Norma Harrison, Har-rison, Harold Bissell, Mrs. Laura Alleman, coba Caffell, Aleen Vane, I and Rex Bronson. The . Fourth ward play will be chosen after presentation of the three contest plays in the ward 1 chapel Friday evening. The outstanding characters and the wining play pf the stake will be selected during the stake contest con-test Tuesday, and these winners will present the play at the district contest to be held "later on, at Provo. Considerable time and effort have been spent in the preparation of the contest plays, which were selected se-lected after presentation in the various wards. The development of dramatic talent, which might otherwise go unnoticed, has resulted through this phase of M. I. A. activity work, it it stated. Stake contests for other special activity work of the M. I. A. including in-cluding public speaking and the dances is scheduled to be held May 15, at the high school. The retold story and operetta contests will take place at the high school the following evening, May 16. |
