Show KIWANIANS AT ART BANQUET Clubmen Stage Annual Banquet Ban-quet At Springville High Art Exhibit. Ballard, one of the general. authorities of the L.D.S. church, in his address, "Spiritual Values of Art," at the annual Ki-kanis Ki-kanis inter-club art luncheon held Thursday night at the Springville high school. Tb.c event is sponsored spon-sored by the Springville Kiwanis club. Miss Mae Huntington of the Springville high school art committee commit-tee gave a talk on the outstanding outstand-ing pictures in this year's exhibit. , Pixon Responds President C. G. Salisbury of the Springville Kiwanis club welcomed the more than 150 visitors which ! represented almost every Kiwanis club in, the state. A response in behalf of the visitors visit-ors was given by H. A. Dixon, superintendent sup-erintendent of the Provo city schools. The members of the Springville club were introduced by Secretary Klilton Harrison followed by the introduction of the visitors. Orson M. Slack, president of the Provo Kiwanis club and Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Lewis of Ogden wei e2the happy recipients of art pictures in the prize picture giving conducted by J. F. Wingate of the Springville club. The high school orchestra directed direct-ed by Clair Johnson furnished the music. The Fox sisters rendered vocal duets accompanied by Mrs. Mary . Bird. Mrs. Eva Wainwright played a violin solo accompanied iby Howard Kern. . Charles Boyer was toastmaster. The banquet was prepared and served by the Springville Fourth vard Relief society. At the conclusion of the banquet Ifce visitors were conducted through tie art gallery. |
