Mrs. Lloyd Bird was hostess to the ladies of the Mothers' Study club at her home Friday afternoon. The. program consisted mainly of Majdeton. All members are invited to be there. Mrs. Claia Smith and daughter Maud Smith and Mrs. E. W. Brown spent Wednesday in Provo as guests of Mrs. Henry Sumsion and family ;nd Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Openshaw. Mr. and Mrs. George Simpkins of this city were guests of relatives and friends at Bountiful over Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Nielson who have recently returned from Farm-ington, Farm-ington, Mo., were guests Wednesday Wednes-day of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Nielson of this city. An especially interesting meeting of the members of Camp No. 1 Daughters of the Pioneers was held in the First ward amusement hall Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Miner presided. Various j numbers on the piogram were given i by the great grandchildren and 1 children of pioneer as follows: reading, Claire Rowland; readings, I Louise Patrick; vocal solos, Rulon Crandall. Other numbers were piano solo, "Spirit or America," by Mrs. Maurice Bird; violin solo, Miss Hazel Ha-zel Anderson, accompanied by Miss Gloria Friel , remarks and poem, Captain Elia Reynolds; "History of Our Early School," by "Irs. Mary J. Finley; reminiscences, by Mrs. Julia Packard; prayers were by the champlain, Mrs. Rebecca Singleton. Following the meeting a delicious luncheon was served, carrying out the St. Patrick's day color scheme : in effective manner. Thirty-five members and visitors were in attendance. at-tendance.
