Show PACKARD DANCE REVUE SCORES HIT Mrs. Tcss C. Packard scored a hit here Wednesday and Thursday evening with the presentation of her annual dance revue entitled "Only a Rose." Nearly 50 student's i participated. Elaborate and unique costumes employed in both group and solo dances added to the attractiveness of th" entertainment. La Barge Nielson, cs queen looked look-ed charming in cn elaborate creation crea-tion representing a rose, wht)' Naomi Clark, Sh:lcy Jean Bird, Doiothy Clark, Laura Jean Brown, Leslie Livingston, Nana Lee Reynolds Reyn-olds and Gloria Hutchinson wore prcttv rose-bud costumes. The scarf dance by Marjorie Chikls. Venice Whiting, Donna Grant and Enid Pennington led by Gene NeiU wrs an outstanding feature fea-ture of the program. Daintv Misses Electa McKcnzic, Betty Boyer, Marjorie Burt, Mary Huntington. lone Averctt did an especially attractive dance in pretty pret-ty athletic costumes. Betty Sumsion Sum-sion in the part of a butterfly and Beverly Miner, Yvonne Childs and ; Delia Rav Bird rs bees, did their .part in a highly entertaining manner. One cf the daintiest and prettiest parts of the program was the balloon bal-loon dance enacted by Sarah Maue Binks Yvonne Baker and Etta Livingston. Liv-ingston. The chorus and solo work done by lone Averctt and Bobbie Lee called forth much favorable comment from the audience, and m the love scene Yvonne Ch.lds played her part as Cupid in the manner of a professional. ,.,,. Lorus Snelson did a clever .tile dance skit rs did Marjorie Child and , Konda Fading. Others who did their parts well were Alia Hawkins, ! Be, nice Jensen, LaPreal Ostler, Berneta Turner. Margaret Stone. Jacqueline Senior clad in an attractive at-tractive costume in red and white 1 did a clever jazz dance while Elz Hem ic, Ruth Olsen. Gerakhne Mel-son, Mel-son, Dorothy Barrett, Donna Avei-ett. Avei-ett.
