Show li MM M9iH em nrarc rare iw pfiMPiTiPii LAW ENFORCEMENT KEYNOTE OF CONCLAVE; FINE PROGRAM ARRANGED j i Willi evciything in readiness for the eighth annual convention of j Utah Peace Officers' association ; which opens a two day's session in j this city tomorrow morning, the big conclave promises to be oi.e of the most successful in the his- , tory of the state, it is announced- Law enforcement will no doubt 1 be the keynote of the convention, j and this in all probability will bo j bounded bv Governor George II. Dern. who is expected to fly over the city in an airplane early F:i- J day morning, and be in attendance at the opening meeting. Dressed in its most galla attire with flags and banners floating in .he breeze, the city presents a genuine carnival appearance. Merchants Mer-chants arc planning to decorate their stores, and many American flags, symbolic of patriotism, will float from homes and business houses. Every session of the convention will be full of interest, it is believed, be-lieved, as each program carries the name of one or more promincrt stale officials, and veteran peace officers. Various phases of law enforcement enforce-ment and matters pertaining to the public welfare will be discussed. 1 In addition to the regular convention conven-tion meetings, many entertaining features are listed on the program. Il is expected that approximately 500 peace officers, their wives, state and various city officials will be in attendance.
