Show Spanish Fork Recognized The achievements of three Spanish Fork high school boys in agriculture, climaxed by their remarkable ability in the national livestock judging contest for future farmers, gives Utah outstanding recognition in this vital field. When Lawrence Simmons won the sweepstakes for individual in-dividual judging at the Kansas City show, he did much more than win a valuable KCholarship; he demonstrated that this state ranks with the best in modern agricultural and stock raising activity. The work of J. Creer and Raleigh Williams, Wil-liams, together with that of Simmons, gave the Spanish Fork team third place in the nation. In competition against the best in the land, such a showing show-ing is a brilliant one. It reflects great credit on Joseph F. Skinner, head, of the high school's agricultural department. The achievement is of real value to the entire state, and the boys, their coach and their school are to be congratulated for the splendid feat. |
