California, 32,600-ton flagship of the Pacific battle fleet, is on her way to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii where she will participate par-ticipate in the "war" games sched uled there for March. The California, Cali-fornia, one of the most modern, fighting vessels afloat, is a super dreadnaught. One of its main batteries bat-teries is shown above. Naval authorities auth-orities point out that concentration ot the battle fleet at Pearl Harbor has no bearing on he Sino-Japanese situation, although Pearl Harbor would naturally be the base of operations op-erations if the fleet was engaged in the Orient. |
