Show f" MAPLETON ; 4 The- annual ward conference was held Sunday evening with Bishop R. L. Mendenhall in charge. Ward officers were read by the clerk, Aaron Mendenhall, and- were -sustained. A vocal duet was given by Miss Pauline Clegg and Hyrum Holt of Spanish Fork. Reports were given by Dallas Holley, Sunday Sun-day school superintendent; Hazel Whiting, president of the Relief society; Elmer Bird, T. M. M. I. A. president; Sadie Whiting, Y. L. M. I. A. president; Alga Mackley, Primary Pri-mary president, and a ward report by Bishop Mendenhall; Musical numbers by Ralph Weight and William ' Parry accompanied by George Barrett, all of Springville. Talks by President Emmett Bird, Bishop Bringhurst and Bishop Robertson and Frank Salisbury, stake clerk. ' Vocal duet "was rendered ren-dered by Glen and Harold Holley, accompanied by George Barrett. An informal Mutual party is being be-ing planned by the Junior and Gleaner girls to be held April 7, in the ward amusement .hall. Dancing Danc-ing will be the big feature of the evening. Also, an excellent pror gram is being planned. Everyone of Mutual age is cordially invited to attend. A temple exursion . was held March 25. A large crowd from Mapleton attended.. A Primary. .dance was held Saturday Sat-urday afternoon in the ward amusement hall. . President Alga Mackley was in charge. Music was furnished by orchestra members mem-bers from the Springville high school. A large number of children chil-dren attended. |
