Show MRS. STURGIS LAID AT REST Funeral service for Mrs. Sarah E. D. Sturgis, formerly of Springville Spring-ville and Provo, who died at Ruth, Nevada, were held Sunday in the Community church. The Rev. Harold Har-old L. Wilson was in charge. Special music was rendered by the Peerless quartet; Miss Catherine Cather-ine R. Dougall, who sang a solo, and Miss Esda Urquhart and Francis Fran-cis Morrow, who furnished a vocal duet. The services wre Protestant in form, with prayed and a talk on "Faith" by Rev. Mr. Wilson. Mrs. E. V. Boorman gave the funeral prelude. The grave at the city cemetery was dedicated by Mr. Wilson. Mrs. Sturgis was born in Springville Spring-ville in 1854. She was living in Provo and went to visit her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Ryon at Ruth, Nevada, just a week before her death. Other children who survive are: Mrs. Jennie Jones, Latuda, Utah; W. P. Sturgis, Ely, Nev.; D. D. Sturgis, Ruth, Nev.; Mrs. Mae Schultz, Provo ; also numerous grandchildren survive. |
