Show ENDEAVORERS HOLD BIG TWO DAY CONCLAVE Christian Endeavorers From Many Utah Towns Meet in v Springville. ! One of the most successful Chrls-tion Chrls-tion Endeavor district conventions ever held in this state concluded a two days' conclave at Springville Sunday with delegates from Salt Lake, Sandy, Provo, Spanish Fork, Payson, Thistle, ,Mt. Pleasant and Richfield in attendance. The convention there, "Approved Workers" was sounded by Dr. M. P. Humphries, who wns the principal speaker at Saturday's session of the convention. Others who participated participat-ed in this session were "Devotional" Iva Dell Murphy, Payson; address of welcome, Dr. W. H. Ensign, Springville; response, C. E. Richmond. Rich-mond. At the close of this meeting the visiting delegates were entertained enter-tained by the Christian Endeavor of Springville, during which time refreshments and general sociability were enjoyed. Sunday morning the Sunrise Praise service was held, led by Pearl Belt. Mrs. Ensin spoke on the work of the junior department Mrs. Born dwelt on the alumni and Mrs. Richmond on the intermediate, while Rev. A. V. Boand of Mt. Pleasant explained the senior work. Among the speakers at the service at 11 o'clock were Rev. A. V. Boand, W. H. Ray, Jr., Elwood Kcatch, Bob Bailey, Leonard Rayer, Clara Campbell, Camp-bell, Dorothy Keller, Eva Jane Robertson, Rob-ertson, Moll Kelley and Dorothy Pearson. Vocal solos were rendered by J. D. Stricklcy of Provo nnd Charles Lierley. Matters pertaining pertain-ing to the national convention to be hold in Portland, Ore., in July, were discussed by the Rev. Mr. Boand and Clifford Jackson. |
