Show M. I. A. HOLDS CONJOINT A large audience packed the Springville Opera house Sunday evening June 8, at the. conjoint meeting of the M. I. A. of the. four wards of Springville, where a very excellent program was rendered. Glen Dalian of the First wnrd wns in cbnrge. George Bunker of Vineyard gave the principle talk. His subject was the "Purpose and nfluence" of the Mutual mprovement association. Miss Ella Maycock gave a historical histor-ical sketch of the beginning of tbe M. I. A. movement nnd outlined the hsitory of tbe work In Springville from its beginning down to the present pres-ent time. Musical numbers were a male quartet selection by Guy Brown, Wilbcr, Glen and Itonnld Alleo : a vocal solo by Mrs. Ellon Whifmore Anderson nnd a vocal duct by Miss Jennie Erickson nnd Mrs. Guy-Brown. Guy-Brown. The invocation was by nPtriarch O. B. Huntington nnd tbe benediction benedic-tion by Earl Hutcbings. |
