Show SPRINGVILLE STARTS DRIVE The people who gave their meu and money so generously at the call of national defence, are hearing another an-other call this week. This time the call coines from the men who answered an-swered 'the first call. They are asking for help in helping those of their number who came back disabled dis-abled and the children of those who did not come;back. - With Mayor G. R. Maycock as honorary chairman ; J. F. Menden-hall Menden-hall acting chairman; Thomas Latimer, Lat-imer, vice chairman and M. O. Packard,- Mark Tripp and H. T. Reynolds, Rey-nolds, Jr., executive committee an intensive campaign is being conducted con-ducted this week for the collection of SpringviLIe and Mapleton's quota ($5.50) of the national $5,000,000 endowment fund established by the American. Legion, for disabled veterans vet-erans and war orphans. . The drive , started Wednesday, May 13 and will end .Wednesday, May 20, during wwhich time every family in the district will be called upon and asked to contribute. |
