Show STRANGE FIRE AT HATCHERY i The federal fish bntctiery at Springville was the scene of a strnnse fire Monday, when every wire in the building was burned out. While the Smith brothers were trimming trees in front of W. G. Edack's home, the rope, which was being used to pull tho falling Ilmba over into the ynrd, broke nnd let one of the limbs fall onto a high tension wire which In turn came In j contact with the secondary wire; which furninhes the light for the! residence. The fisht hatchery wns the only I residence on the line thnt had a ground wire and therefore became the outlet for the high voltage produced pro-duced by the contact of the high tension wire. Flames shot from all parts of the building and for a time it was thought thnt tho home wns on flro and a call was pnt In. for the fire department. The only damage that occurod, however, was the burning out of the electric wira and fixtures, damages estimated at about $30. |
