Show SPRINGVILLE TAKES GAME FROM MINERS Cole, Springville' s star pitcher, came through in great style in the second contest of the $300 three-game three-game post-season series between Eureka and Springville Wednesday. Wednes-day. Cole held the Miners to five hits, on which they secured three runs. At the same time the Springville Spring-ville stars pounded -three of the Miner heavers for eight hits, which together with six errors oa the part of Eureka, netted the Springville boys nine runs. ' For seven innings Cole was going like a house afire. Only two bits had been knicked against him. while he bad succeeded in keeping the Miners whitewashed. In the eighth they touched him for three bits on which they scored their tallies. Kline used Fowler. Sutherland and Smith in an effort to limit the series to a two-game contest, but the Springers were on and touched each moundman almost at will. Ike Young, the baseball sensation of the year, smashed out a home-run home-run in the eighth bringing Barnett abend of him.
