Show SAUER TAKES BAND TO BIG CELEBRATION Professor Robert Sauer has selected se-lected 20 men from the Brigham Young university baud to make the trip to St. Thomas, Nevada, to participate par-ticipate in the great Pablo Grande Pageant celebrating the discovery of the Lost City and the completion of the Arrowhead Trail. The band will be the guests of the State of Nevada, the invitation to attend coming from Governor Scrougham. The band goes to Nevada as a result re-sult of the fact that Professor E. H. Eastmond is the official director ,of the great pageant and author of the portion of It. The band will have a conspicuous part In the rendition ren-dition of the pageant. The latter will be staged out-of-doors, and will be one of the greatest performances ever consummated in the west. Zuni Indians from Arizona tare reconstructing a portion of the Lost City according to plans drafted by archeologists from New York and Washington, who are in charge of the uncovering ut the remains. The men who have been chosen to represent rep-resent the' band are as follows: Itobert Sauer, conductor; Elmer E. Nelson, flute; Walter Vogel, E flat clarinet; Blair Thomas, Merrill D. Clay son, Webster Tucker and LaVern Dickson, B flat clarinet; Floyd Larson, saxophone; Osmond Crowther, Francis Haycock, Verl Van Wagenen, cornet; Walter Burg-ener, Burg-ener, Pratt Brethers, horn; Ciaire Josnson, Baritone; Raymond Ross, Sterling Cluff, trombone; Ford M. Poulsou, Melvin A. Brimhall, bass ; Melvin Miller, Heber C. Williams, drums. |
