Show UTAH COUNTY BANKERS MET IN THIS CITY The American Institute of Hanking Hank-ing is I 1m greatest organization of its kind in the world, Claude U. Salisbury Sal-isbury of the Springville Banking company told the members of the Utah county chapter uf the A. I. It. in session here Wednesday evening. It was the opening meeting and hanquet of the lA2li-127 season of that organization and H. A. Dixon of the Fanners and Merchants hank of Provo acted as toastuiasler. There were present representatives representa-tives from practically all of the banking institutions of the county, alt of whom characterized the event as one uf the most enjoyable in the history of the Utah county chapter. Community singing and selections by W. Elmo Coffman, William Tarry Tar-ry and Halph K. Weight, Inez Wheeler and Helen Palfreyman and Miss Millie Christinas, added to the "otertalning features of the evening, even-ing, j i Continuing, Mr. Salisbury said: i "Its objects are the training of .lie individual; the elevation of the general gen-eral standard of service and efficiency effic-iency of the banking profession as a whole, and the education of the general public in the principles of banking and the cooperation with all loyal Americans and American organizations that are striving to mould public opinion in those channels chan-nels which will bring most credit to us as a nation." Mr. Salisbury gave an extensive report of the national convention recently held at Dallas. Texas. Pratt P. Thomas, president of the Utah County Bankers association told of the value to bank employes and officials of the training given ill the American Institute of Banking, Bank-ing, and declared that any person connected with the banking business busi-ness is made the better by that training. |
