She is about 18 years of age. She lias been asked to go to Manti to be present at the County fair there with which the annual encampment of the Utah State Indian War Veterans Vet-erans is being bold this year. r J SALEM GIRL WINS SILVER LOVING CUP SPANISH FOIih,, Sep?. 4. Miss Elva Hanks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles N. Hanks, Jr., of Salem, was the winner of the first price in the annual beauty contest con-test given at the Edgewa ter" resort at Salem a few days ago. Miss Hanks was presented with a silver loving cup. Judges from Salt Lake, Ogden, Provo, Springville and Pay-son Pay-son awarded the prizes. The "Bathing "Bath-ing Beauty Revue" was the first one held by the Bdgewnter management manage-ment and was attended by 500 spectators, spec-tators, among them being Miss Utah from Salt Lake City who was barred from the contest. The event will be observed annually from now on by the management of the new |
