Show CANYONROAD WORK TO BEGIN With legal entanglements, that have held tip the Provo canyon road project for the past month, well straightened out, and with a huge steam shovel on the ground and the gravel plant complete, nothing is is now in evidence that will further delay the work of this project, according ac-cording to Robert B. Patterson, assistant as-sistant state road engineer, in charge. "It is unfortunate that the sfnte was enjoined from continuing the work of this project," Mr. Patterson Patter-son said in discussing the propects for a better canyon road. "The work was held for a period of thirty days when suit was instituted institu-ted by L. L. Donnon, contesting the state's right-of-way. These matters, however, have been' temporarily settled and beginning Tuesday we will have the steam shovel in action ac-tion at the gravel pit and within the next ten days the surfacing will begin." be-gin." Mr Patterson says that the canyon can-yon road is in fairly good condition-with condition-with the exception of a half mile between Wildwo'od and Vivian park and the only way to improve that strip is by a complete new surface. It is the hope of the contractors to have the project completed within the next thirty days, it is reported. |
