Show CHRISTENSEN IS SPEAKER AT KIWANIS Base B all Team Members j Are Guests of the Evening Homer Christensen, coach of the West Hide high school of Salt Lake and now teaching a class in recreation recrea-tion at the B. Y. U. summer school was the speaker at the Springville Kiwanls luncheon held at the Third ward amusement, hall Thursday evening at which time members of the Springville baseball team were guests of the elub. Mr. Christensen talked about wholesome community recreation iuder proper leadership, as nn asset o the development of clean boys and girls. . '"We- stop playing not because we grow old," Mr. Christensen said, "but w;e grow old because we Btop playing." . C. It, Jones acted as toastmaster. The ballplayers were introduced by A. L. Garbett. The musical program consisted of vocal solos by G. S. Wood, A. L. Garbett and :Wm. Grooms. Wm. Grooms led the community singing. The attendance prize was won by Walt Wheeler. |
