Show Springville Society Mrs. Harold Christiansen entertained enter-tained at dinner Monday evening for Misa Vesta Anderson. Covers were laid for the following guests: Dr. and Mrs. John Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Miller, Dr. and Mrs. N. Beal, Mrs. H. B. Sorenson, Verena Graham, Ray Van Leuven and the guest of honor, Miss Anderson Miss Alzada Wilmott who has left to fulfill ai mission in the eastern state was the guest of honor at a party given at the home of Miss Jane Alleman tart Saturday. Mrs. Olive AnderBon and Bon Lowry, Mrs. C. B. Murray and two daughters and Mrs. Eunice Molaud motored to Mantl last Saturday and attended a reunion of the Lowry family. Jesse Whiting was the honored guest at a party given Monday evening even-ing at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J: H. Whiting, prior to his leaving for the mission' field. I Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weight and Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Hales were Inst week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Nuttall of Salt Lake. Mrs. R. O. Thorno and three sons of Storrs have been visiting at the home of Mrs. John Brown for a week. . - The Second ward Bee Hive girls met Tuesday evening at the park and made plans for summer work. Ronald Molan of Hammond, Ind., spent the past week visiting with bis sister, Mrs. C. B. Murray and friends. Bishop nnd Mrs. Hilton Robertson were the speakers at two meetings at Soldier Summit last Sunday. One service for the Japanese where there were present 25 Japanese, all non-membrs non-membrs of th church. Mr. and Mrs. Roberson sang a number of songs in the Japanese language. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hutchlngs and Carlos Hutchlngs have returned from a motoring trip through Sevier and Sanpete counties where they visited with relatives. Clarence Spufford reached his limit last Tuesday In his first two catches. Two trout . caught in the mouth of Hobble creek weighed 10 pounds. Arthur Hughes and Dwaln Spafford also caught their limit. - Mr. and Mrs. John M. Gore and daughter Sarah of Dawson, Georgia, are visiting with their son, A. , B. Gore of Springville. Wednesday they motored to Salt Lake and spent the day visiting around the city... " Mr" and Mrs. Will Wheeler and children of Tacoma, Wash., are visiting in Springville for a few days with relatives. A Boyer family reunion will be held on the Springville city park on .the afternoon of July 1, beginning begin-ning at one o'clock. All relatives of Mrs. Catherine Houtz Boyer are expected ex-pected t be present. '.. Owen and Evan Harrington left Friday for Sweet, Idaho. Owen came to Springville on account of his father's death. v ' ' Mrs. John Harrington- will leave for Provo in a few days to spend the summer with her sister, Mrs. A. R. Chipman. Mr. and Mrs. Oran Groneman of Provo entertained at dinner Sunday in honor of Earl Hutchlngs. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hutchlngs, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Burk of Ogden, Mr and Mrs. Joe Butt of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs Willis Hutchlngs, Miss , Pearl Hutchings and Miss Edith Gee. Mr. and Mrs: G. W. MendenhaU and daughter, Odessa, and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McKenzie were among those who took advantage of the opening .of the fishing season- this week. ' . Milan Straw and-C. O. Salisbury also indulged in the favorite sport...
