Patriarch Henry Moyle of Alpine, well-known In religious and political circles of Utah county, died at the family home In Alpine Saturday Satur-day evening. Mr. Moyle was chaplain: chap-lain: of the Indian War Veterans association. as-sociation. . He was born in Devonshire, England, Eng-land, January 3, 1844 and came with his parents to t'tah iu 1850. The family settled in Halt Lake City but after a few years moved to Alpine, Al-pine, where Mr. Moyle had since then resided. Of an energetic and Industrious j disKsition, Mr. Moyle took an active part in the community lite of his home town cud was honored by hia towns ptiople by being appointed ap-pointed and elected to ninny positions posi-tions of responsibility, both political and religious. He served Alpine for many years as postmaster and Justin of the pence and had held many important religious positions. For 22 Years he had been a patriarch in the Alpine stake. Surviving him are eight sons and daughters, as follows: Mrs, Iieva Booth, now on a mission to Armenia Ar-menia ; Mrs. Lizzie Hansen nnd John F. Moyle, Alpine; Mrs. Finnic Stuhbs, Mrs. Vllae Vincent and Mrs.! Sylvia Boren, Provo; Mrs. Minnie, Cluff, Midway and Parley Moyle, Enterprise, He is also survived by 57 grand children nnd eight greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral service will thc held in the Alpine ward chapel Tuesday at-ternon at-ternon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be In the Alpine cemetery. |
