Show FILE SUIT FOR $1,090 BOND County Aitoincy ceoige S. Ballif has bnen instructed by City Judge Maurice Harding to begin proceedings, proceed-ings, against William Cayius and Martinus Nielsen, professional bondsmen of Salt Lake City, for the collection of $1,000 forfeited on a bond of Louis Christensen, who failed to appear in the city court for trial on a charge of possession of intoxicating liquor. A bench warrant for the arrest of Christensen will also be issued on orders of Judge Harding. In compliment to Grover Clyde, who left Friday night for Chicago, a number of friends entertained at a social in the form of a weincr roast in Kelley's Grove Thursday evening. A huge bonfire was built and games, social chat and music were enjoyed. Those included in the party were: Bishop and Mrs. J. Emmet Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Riggs, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Weight, 1 Mr. and Mrs. Guy Brown, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Childs, Mrs. Ronald j Beardall, Mrs. Roy Lovoridge and : Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Boyer. Miss lone Palfreyman was hostess host-ess Wednesday evening at a nicely nice-ly arranged luncheon for a numbers num-bers of friends at her home. An orange colored bowl of marigolds formed an attractive centerpiece for the long dining table. Favors also were of the same color. Covers Cov-ers were laid for Mrs. H T'Ja Knudsen, Miss Maud Tuckfield, Miss Effie Warnick, Miss Irene Harris, all of Provo, Mrs. A. W. Finley Miss May Finley and Miss Bess Finley. Miss Palfreyman was assisted by her mother, Mrs. Lydia Palfreyman. During the evening an enjoyable time was spent hear-iag hear-iag of the recent experiences of Miss Warnick while attending school in Chicago, and of the interesting in-teresting incidents by Mrs. Knud-gen Knud-gen who recently returned from a trip around the world on the floating float-ing university. Later the party motored mo-tored to Mrs. Knudsen's home in j Provo to view the many beautiful relics which she collected during I her travels. |
