Show Services held Wednesday for William H. Child Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Fourth-Tenth ward church for William H. Child, 79, who died at the home of a daughter in Centerville last Saturday from a heart condition. condi-tion. A prominent retired stockman stock-man and farmer, Mr. Child, in his earlier life, along with his :-T family, farmed both in Springville Spring-ville and in the Wanrhodes r valley. Born April 26, 1883 in Springville, he was the son of Thomas Edward and Emily Whiting Child. He married Nellie Nel-lie Averett Feb. 26, 1908 in the Manti LDS temple. She preceded pre-ceded him in death in 1959. Educated in the Sprinsrville t schools, Mr. Child has spent his entire life here. He was an Elder in the Fourth ward at the time of his death. Surviving him are four sons and two daughters, Hardy L., W. Bert and Verl E. Child all of Springville; Lawrence J. Child, Harbor City, California; Mrs. J. E. (Marie) Fisher, Centerville; and Mrs. Reed (Nadine) Nielsen, Bountiful; 13 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. George (Ella) Peterson of Springville. Bishop W. Verl Whiting of the Fourth ward was is charge of the services. Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery directed di-rected by the Wheeler Mortuary. |
