A news release from the Selective Se-lective Service system office, states that Larry Dan Blanch- ard and Richard DeVerl Poul-son Poul-son of Springville have enlisted enlist-ed in the Air Force and that Roger Elias Bargar, Jr., of Mapleton has enlisted in the Navy Released recently from the army, the release states, is David Wallace Johnson who was with the army and Russell i T. I i lJetvd looted . . . Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Livingston, Liv-ingston, accompanied by Mrs. Livingston's mother, Mrs. Maude Thorn, are home from a most enjoyable vacation trip to California. They visited Mrs. Thorn's sister, Mrs. Beulah Beard at Ontario, Calif., and with Mr. and Mrs. Roger Gillis (Tonya Livingston) and children child-ren at Pasadena, and with Norman Thorn at Glendale. They also enpoyed a trip to Catalina Island and toured many other attractions in the area being gone ten days in all. Mrs. Jasies Stevenson enjoyed en-joyed a visit from her daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David R. Thomas of Og-' Og-' den over the weekend. They also visited her sisters, Mrs. Fern Lee, Springville, Mrs. Ila Carter and Mrs. Merelene Lerwell and their families in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Russell are home from a two-week's vacation spent in Denver and Arizona. They went by train to Denver to meet their daughter, daugh-ter, Kathleen, who has worked during the summer in Washington Wash-ington D. C., after attending Merle Palmer Institute at Detroit, De-troit, Mich, three months. Returning Re-turning home they picked up Karen Roylance for a trip by auto to Arizona, where they visited the Russell's daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hansen at Phoenix. Enroute they toured the dam at Page, Ariz., and also visited the temple at Mesa and places of interest at Scottsdale. They spent a day on the way home, at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Kathleen and Karen are now enrolled in their senior sen-ior year at Utah State University. Uni-versity. Mr. and , Mrs. Robert E. Pal-freyman Pal-freyman have returned home from Pasadena, Calif., where they were called on account of the sudden death of Mrs. Pal-freyman's Pal-freyman's mother, Mrs. Robert L. Gordon, 57. Funeral services were held Saturday. They made the trip to and from Pasadena by plane. Sir. and Mrs. Waldo Jacob-sen Jacob-sen have had as their guests this week, Mr. and Mrs. Erie Ingerson from Milo, Main. Mr. Ingerson and Mr. Jacobsen were friends during their missions. mis-sions.
