Show Valley Opera cast includes local talent Leads for the Verdi opera, "LaTraviata," to be presented by the Utah Valley Opera Association, As-sociation, March 13 to 16, include in-clude a talented singer from Mapleton, L. M. Tippetts, who is taking the part of the Baron Bar-on Douphol, according to announcement an-nouncement by Mrs. Victor J. Birl of Provo, president of the association. Mr. Tippetts- has been seen in several other productions put on by the Utah county organization. or-ganization. The opera will be presented on the Provo high school stage four nights. Taking part in the dance routines of the the opera from Springville will be Diana All-red, All-red, a student of Colleen Collins Col-lins Smith, choreographer for the performances, who has also performed in several other pro-i pro-i ductiqns. Taking part in the orchestra orches-tra are several members from the Utah Valley Symphony orchestra or-chestra including Mrs. Eileen Bird of Springville, who has also played in many other productions pro-ductions of the opera association. associa-tion. Solo leads besides Mr. Tippetts, Tip-petts, include: Mrs. Olga Gardner Gard-ner and Lurline Levar of Provo; Pro-vo; Mrs. Kim Ludlow of Spanish Span-ish Fork; Nancy Ekins of American Fork and Jack Morris, Mor-ris, Noel Twitchell, Ken Wilkes, Wil-kes, George Collard, Provo; Ron Hall, Payson; Milliam Peterson, Pe-terson, Pleasant Grove. . A large supporting chorus is under direction of. Kurt Weinzinger. Costumes have been designed by Betty and Ken Liechty and the sets and scenery are being designed by Arlon Van Or-den, Or-den, architect. Dr. Don L. Earl is musical director for the opera.
