Ar-mory. The unit is sponsoring the Crippled Children's benefit, bantam basketball games at the high school from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. Regular drill will be held during the afternoon until 3 p.m., when men will disperse to return to the Armory for the ball. Highlighting social activities in Springville this week will be the annual semi-formal Military Ball which will be held Saturday evening, Feb. 23, at the Armory, sponsored by the local unit of the National Guard. An invitation is extended ex-tended to the public to attend. The dance will begin at 9 p.m., and at intermission, the 1963 National Guard Queen, Miss Diana Allred and her two attendants, Miss Linda Smith of Provo and Miss Julie Old-royd Old-royd of Springville, will be introduced. Refreshments will be served. CWO Robert Bringhurst and Sgt. Richard Carter are acting act-ing as general chairman of the ball assisted by a corps of committee workers in charge of various other events of the day. |
