Show City council ponders problems at regular meeting Monday A number of routine items were handled by the Spring-ville Spring-ville City Council at their regular reg-ular meeting Monday night. Bids were opened for equipment equip-ment to be attached to the tank truck to be used for street flushing. Bids by Atlas Equipment Co., $3,457.50; Con-ely Con-ely Co., $2,494.00; Hjorth Brothers, Bro-thers, $2,745.00; and Cate Equipment Co., $3,000.00. The bids were turned over to the streets Superintendent, Carl Curtis, Engineer John Neff & the road committee with authority auth-ority given to act. Police Chief Graham reported report-ed a dog being used to patrol at night. He reported attending attend-ing a burglary conference held at Price. Whiting and Haymond offered of-fered to sell metal beams and trusses which might be used by the .city for a bridge building build-ing purposes, at scrap iron prices. Motion passed unanimously. unani-mously. Bids for pasture lease was scheduled to run in this weeks and next week's Herald. Her-ald. Expiration of current leases is March 1. The council approved a credit cre-dit to be issued to Joe Martinez Mar-tinez in the amount of $30.60 in Improvement District No. 9 for sidewalk installed by the builder. Engineer Neff was asked to check the North Park regarding a drainage problem. Mayor Haymond recommended recommend-ed appointment of Art Child on the police force due to the leaving of Jack Windley from the department. Motion unanimous. unan-imous.
