Show Public invited to typical Hawaiian luau Those who believe there is "nothing new under the sun" should be at the Second-Eighth ward back lawn next Tuesday evening for a big .Hawaiian Luau (feast) and Hawaiian program, being sponsored as a budget event for the two wards. Mr. and Mrs. Max Al-leman Al-leman and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Johnson are co-chairmen. They have secured Mr. and Mrs. Rau Veve Fauene of Hawaii to roast the pig or imu, in a pit prepared in typical Hawaiian fashion. Served with the roast pork will be a delicious deli-cious menu of Hawaiian food similar to that served at the Hawaiian luaus. An invitation is given the general public to attend the events which begins at 7 p.m., on the back lawn, where special spe-cial decorations will add a festive fes-tive note to the affair. Bryan Burt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Burt, attended the Freedom Academy at Camp Williams last week, as a group leader. He attended the Academy Acad-emy last year, when he was high school student body president pres-ident and was asked to returi to the school of instruction as I a group leader. He came home Friday. |
