Carter of Orem who was ninety five years old that day. His grandson, Roy Evans, who is fifteen years old was born on his grandfathers eightieth eigh-tieth birthday. Mr. Alma Jensen and his wife were honored at a lawn party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Young last Wednesday Wed-nesday by the members of the Mapleton ward Genealogical Committee. Twenty one guests enjoyed a program and homemade home-made ice cream and pie. Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fay Dibble were several of her sisters and their families. Included were Mr. and Mrs. Champ Meyer of Richfield; Mrs. Hazel Holm and daughters, Mrs. LaRheta Nielson and Mrs. Maxine Jensen; Jen-sen; and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Boyack of Salt Lake City. Colleen Gumey of Lehi and Mary Ray ana pristine Whiting Whit-ing of Mapleton, all employees of Skaggs Store in Provo, re- turned home Thursday night from a vacation trip to the Northwest. They motored to Glenns Ferry, Idaho where they attended Sacrament meeting. They continued to Prinerville, Oregon to visit with Mary's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ray. They also visited friends at Portland, Oregon, returning home via Washington and the Columbia River. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Tib-bitts Tib-bitts (Lorna Whiting) of Lorenzo, Lor-enzo, Idaho and three daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Margaret Curtis of Idaho Falls, Nancy and Lucille of Lorenzo, visited Sunday with friends and relatives in Mapleton. Maple-ton. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Bartholomew Bartholo-mew are enjoying a visit from his mother, Mrs. Charlotte of Salt Lake City who will spend several days with them. Spending a few days at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Murray is Mrs. Charles Waters of Beaver. Other guests are a brother Warren Waters and his wife and family of Cedar City. Rudy Carnesecca, 16-year-old son of, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Carnesecca Car-nesecca has returned home after af-ter an eight week confinement at the Utah Valley Hospital with a severe back injury. He was working on a tractor on the family farm when the accident ac-cident occurred. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Carnesecca Carnesec-ca are Mr. and Mrs. George Marcey and daughter Francis Mary of Rawlings, New York, and Mr. and Mrs. Stan Marcey of Stanford, Conn. They were here for the wedding of Mar-iam Mar-iam Carnesecca and Roger Marcey which was held Saturday. Sat-urday. Guests at the R. W. Davidson David-son home are two daughters and their families, Mr. and in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Farnsworth and family from Clearfield. Mr. J. R. Banks was honored honor-ed on his birthday with a family fam-ily dinner at his home. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Carl Loback and two children from Keams and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Spykerman and family from Salt Lake City. Spending three days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Whiting has been Mrs. Marian Frandsen of Council Bluffs, Iowa. At the Peace Officers Association Asso-ciation outing at Canyon Glen Wednesday night J. Fay Jensen Jen-sen of Mapleton was among the officers selected for the coming year. He will be vice-president vice-president to Kenneth E. Harris, Har-ris, highway patrolman of Lin-don, Lin-don, who will be the new president. pres-ident. In the sharpshooter division di-vision Mrs. Fay Jensen placed first. Mrs. Glen Horspool and eight children and Mr. and Mrs. Arches Haskins and four children chil-dren of Whittier, Calif. The Horspool family has been living liv-ing in New Zealand for the past three and one half years while Mr. Horspool taught music mu-sic at the college. After vacationing vaca-tioning here they will sail for Hawaii where he will teach at the college there. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Hooper Hoop-er and Mrs. Nellie Wiscombe accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Thales Brown and family of Para wan, attended the Weight family reunion. Tom Hooper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Hooper accompanied accom-panied his aunt, Mrs. Edward Killpack to Eugene, Oregon and will return early in September for school.
