Show International problems discussed at club meet W. W. Brockbank was the speaker at the meeting of the Ladies Literary club Thursday evening, discussing a few of the many international problems. prob-lems. He noted that at no time in the history of the world, had there been so many or such grave problems as at the present time. The United States, Stat-es, he said, faces a serious situation in making a decision in regard to Berlin as well as other problems involving the Soviet Union. He told of small nations throughout the world, seeking their freedom and of the unrest in South America. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Glen W. Sumsion, Sum-sion, who served lunch early. Mrs. Brockbank, Marie Johnson, John-son, Zina Johnson and Mrs. Robert Sumsion were guests. Mrs. Paul Thorn, vice-president, conducted the meeting and asked Mrs. G. Lowry Anderson An-derson to read the club collect. col-lect. Mrs. E. T. Crandall gave a report on the Legislative Council Coun-cil meeting which took up the Pinehills rehabilitation project. |
