Ross Hall of Mapleton will be a little suspicious of Friday Fri-day the 13th hereafter, as that day brought him a bit of bad luck and five fractured ribs. He returned home Sunday from the Utah Valley Hospital, Hospi-tal, where he had been confined confin-ed since an accident in Provo in which a pickup truck he was driving collided with a gravel truck, resulting in considerable con-siderable damage to his car plus painful injuries. The Needle Craft Club met at the home of Mrs. Harriet Nielson in Spanish Fork for a day of quilting and lunch. A beautiful stamped quilt in pastel shades of yellow and green was made by sixteen club members. Hostesses were Birdie Nielson, Millie Bird and Marva Whiting. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Senate Mendenhall on Thursday, January Jan-uary 26. Camp Sage Creek DUP members were entertained at the home of Mrs. Elmer K. Robinson Thursday evening of last week. The hostess was assisted as-sisted by Mrs. Evelyn Allan in serving refreshments to ten members. The lesson and history his-tory was given by Mrs. Vera Singleton. Mrs. Hannah Binks left last week for southern California where she plans to spend a month with her daughters Ber-niece Ber-niece and Lavon and their families. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Jackson Jack-son have been her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldwin Wall of Bluebell. Blue-bell. The Jacksons also visited with his folks in Duchesne during dur-ing the week. Mrs. Afton Barker entertained enter-tained ten friends at a quilting quilt-ing and hot lunch last Monday Mon-day at her home. She was assisted as-sisted by her daughter, Mrs. Carma Rasmussen. A quilting was enjoyed at the home of Mrs. Zina Dibble Thursday of last week. Dinner was served at noon to twelve club members. She was assisted assist-ed by her two daughters, Mrs. Welby Warren and Mrs. Burton Bur-ton Warren. A Missouri Daisy quilt was completed. Several Mapleton residents attended the wedding reception recep-tion of William R. Pulsipher of Mapleton and Jolene Snell of Spanish Fork which was held in Spanish Fork last Friday. Fri-day. Bill will leave in the near future for another six year enlistment with the U.S. Navy and will report to San Diego, Calif. His wife will join him later. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davies are enjoying a visit with their two grandchildren from San Francisco. They are children of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Davies. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Degraw also have a granddaughter from Reams visiting with them. Val Morris, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Morris is in |
