Water reaches low level at Strawberry The present available storage in Strawberry Reservoir is at 54,138 acre feet, the amount being mostly carry-ove- r from the close of the 1960 irrigation season, it was pointed out by water officials this week. The inflow for the same time in 1959 was 595 acre feet. The present storage in the reservoir is 48,520 acre feet lower than January 1, 1960. The snow cover on the Straw-berry shed is about 60 percent of normal for the past ten years it is stated. Club group enjoys program on music A musical program featur-ing the life and works of Vic-tor Herbert, entertained mem-bers of the Mothers Study club, when they were guests of Mrs. Anna Johnson Friday afternoon, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jessie J. Dal-to- n. Melba Wheeler and Vera Zo-bel- l, assisted by Mary Parker, gave the program reviewing the many accomplishments of the famous musician. They also gave a number of his compo-sitions in vocal duets, and so-los with Miss Parker accom-panist. The meeting was in charge of President Zelma Beardall, who asked Grace Martindale to read the club collect. Hilda Cherrington reported on the Legislative Council meeting and Mrs. Beardall reported on the club Council meet. An extemporaneous part on the program came when Ella Reynolds paid tribute in ori-ginal verse to Anna Johnson, whose 83rd birthday was Jan-uary 5. Mrs. Johnson in turn announced that Mrs. Reynolds would be 85 on Friday, Janu-ary 20. The club sang Happy Birthday to the two members. In conclusion, lunch was served by the hostesses.
