Show LEGAL NOTICES ORDINANCE NUMBER 74 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CORPORATE COR-PORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SPRINGVILLE, SPRING-VILLE, UTAH I WHEREAS a petition has been filed with the ' City Recorder of the City of Springville requesting I that the territory hereinafter described be annexed ! to the city, and li i WHEREAS such petition is signed by Amos ; E. Dallin, Flayvilla A. Dallin, Byron L. Cottam, Sheila W. Cottam, Don L. Young, Earl Brailsford, Floyd Nash, Marion B. Nash, Flora Bjarnson, Ray Bjarnson, A. Lavell Ostler, Hettie Ostler, Glenn L. j Dallin, Bertrum Dallin, Mollie McClain, Charlotte ' Vodopich, Eugene R. Palfreyman and Magnola H. ; Palfreyman, who appear to the City Council of Springville to represent a majority of the owners and the owners of not less than one-third in value of the real property in the territory which they desire de-sire to annex to this city, and WHEREAS said petitioners have caused an accurate plat of such territory to be made and certified certi-fied by a competent surveyor and have filed said plat in the office of the City Recorder of Spring- ; ville, and i WHEREAS said territory lies contiguous to j the city of Springville and there is no proper reason why it should not be annexed to and made a part ! of this city, and ! WHEREAS the City Council of Springville, ! after examining said petition and considering the circumstances thereof, voted by unanimous vote of all members of said council in favor of annexing said territory to the city of Springville and directed that an ordinance be passed annexing the same and extending the corporate limits of the city of Springville Spring-ville accordingly. i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SPRINGVILLE, UTAH: ' SECTION 1. That the territory hereinafter ' described be and the same is hereby annexed to the : city of Springville and the corporate limits of this city are hereby extended and enlarged so as to in- i elude the following described territory within such j corporate limits, which territory is particularly des- cribed as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point 44.5 feet North 0 deg. 47 min. West of the West Quarter Corner of Section 3, Township 8 South, Range 3 ! East, of the Salt Lake Base and Meridian: j thence North 89 deg. 17 min. West 631.20 I feet; thence North 0 deg. 47 min. East 511.52 feet; thence South 89 deg. 23 min. East 682.17 feet; thence North 0 deg. 43 ; min. East 518.43 feet; thence North 69 ; deg. 24 min. West 78.89 feet ; thence North i 1 deg. 00 min. East 641.83 feet; thence : j North 88 deg. 38 min. West 468.86 feet; ; ; thence North 4 deg. 34 min. East 30.0 feet ; thence North 64 deg. 01 min. West 417.03 feet; thence North 61 deg. 34 min. West 154.29 feet; thence North 86 deg. 05 min. West 20.05 feet; thence North 0 deg. 10 min. East 339.55 feet; thence South 89 deg. ! 00 min. West 271.84 feet; thence South 0 deg. 47 min. East 1294.25 feet to the place . of beginning. SECTION 2. That the whole of the above-described above-described territory be and the same is hereby zoned as Residential Agricultural District (R-A). SECTION 3. That when this ordinance takes effect, the said territory above described shall ; thenceforth be within the corporate limits of the city of Springville and be zoned as Residential-Agricultural Residential-Agricultural District (R-A) as in the zoning ordinance ordin-ance of the city of Springville provided, and all ordinances, jurisdictions, rules and obligations of or pertaining to the city of Springville are extended over and made applicable and pertinent to said territory; and the streets, blocks, lots, alleys and ways of said territory shall be controlled and governed gov-erned by the ordinances, rules and regulations of this city in that behalf, and the monuments of the city engineer shall thenceforth be taken therein as the standards of locations and distances. SECTION 4. That upon the passage of this ordinance the City Recorder of the city of Springville Spring-ville shall and he is hereby directed to file in the office of the County Recorder of Utah County, Utah, a copy of the plat above referred to, duly certified, together with a certified copy of this ordinance, ord-inance, as provided by law. SECTION 5. That in the opinion of the city council of the city of Springville it is necessary to the peace, health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants inhabi-tants of the city of Springville that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication. PASSED by the City Council of the city of Springville in regular meeting assembled this 20th day of November, 1961. Signed, J. Ashcraft, hereby certify that I am the duly appointed, qualified and acting City Recorder Re-corder of the city of Springville, Utah, and that the proceedings of the City Council of said city of Springville are of record in my office, and I further certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of the iriginal ordinance passed by said City Council on the 20th day of November, 1961, as the same appears of record and on file in my office which ordinance extends the corporate limits of the city of Springville so as to include the territory therein described.
