Douglas Wood brought a new toy train for the class to se, and Bonnie Carter brought a little rocket ship. The third grade has a new calendar with snowflakes for the days. They also have a birthday chart. They have made snow men and ladies for the window. A bright spot in their room is a bulletin board about safety. This past Monday, Jan 9, Miss Ludlow's first grade had a visitor. Mr. Frandsen, school principal, visited the class for a half-da- y to watch the child-ren work. Mrs. LeRoy's second grade is studying about air. They are also doing some fun things to find aut what air does. Vern Sheppard had a birthday and the class made cards for him and he gave them all a treat. Patsy Hecham reports she was baptized. Mr. Allred's Sixth grade is learning an operetta, and will put it on for the school and the parents and for anyone else who wants to come. It is called "H.M.S. Pinafore" or "The Lass Who Loves a Sail-or." They hope you will all come and see it because they have really worked hard on it. It is a comedy and has some funny dances in it too.
