Show Funeral services held here for Polly Kirkman Funeral services for Mrs. Polly Babcock Kirkman, 86, who died Saturday at a rest home in Brigham City, were conducted Tuesday afternoon in the Wheeler Mortuary chapel. cha-pel. Bishop Melvin Duke of the Eighth ward officiated. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Kirkman had been at the rest home in Brigham City for the past two years. She was born Aug. 31, 1874, in Spanish Fork the daughter of John and Harriet McKee Babcock. She lived in Spanish Fork during her early life and received her education there. Funeral services held for Polly Kirkman (Continued from Page One.) ard Smith on October 24, 1893. They were later divorced. She married James Kirkman on July 26, 1905 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 15, 1915. A member of the LDS Church, she had worked in the Relief Society. She lived in Mapleton for a short time, had lived in Springville for most of her life and in Brig-ham City for the past two years. Surviving are two sons and a daughter of a family of 10 children: Robert G. Kirkman, Magna; William Smith, Brig-ham Brig-ham City; Mrs. Mary K. Ew-ing, Ew-ing, Salt Lake City; 18 grandchildren; grand-children; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Hyrum Babcock, Nampa, la. |
